Tolerance and Inclusiveness

You know, Post-Modern nonsense no longer surprises me when I hear it: "Nah, man. What's true for you is true for you; what's true for me is true for me. All truth is valid." Oh yeah? What if my truth states that your "truth" is a lie? Is it still valid? What if my "truth" says it is okay to beat my wife and children? According to Post-Modern logic, nobody is allowed to tell me that I am wrong for doing so. In fact, if they tell me that I am wrong for doing so, I can simply claim that I am offended by them telling me I am not allowed to beat my wife and children.

After all, being "offended" makes everything right, right?

I mean, everybody used to say "Merry Christmas" to each other because it was not about a "religion." It was about something that we, as a culture, thought was so valuable that we all did it together, even if I disagreed with the " religion" behind it, because it was good for all and not just me. Santa Claus has nothing to do with the "religion" and yet what does he say all the time? "Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas!" The overuse of the word "offensive" is driving me out of my mind. "Excuse me, but which part is more offensive? The 'peace on Earth' or the 'good will toward all men' rhetoric?" It is a disingenuous argument; it is not real. There are a ton of holidays in February and nobody ever says "Happy Holidays" in February. They say what it is. "Happy Valentines!"

D'oh! Do you believe in love? I would not want to "offend" you if you do not believe in love.

What we are seeing today is the wussification of our nations. "Oh no! I hurt your feelings by correcting you and telling you that 2 plus 2 is 4 and not 68?  Whatever shall I do now?" I know! How about... "I don't care!" Man up! You are going to be wrong and corrected. There are people who are better than you... at a lot of things. It is not the end of the world. Sheesh! Contrary to what you have been told, everybody is not equal. Men are different from women. Women are different from men. We all have different strengths and weaknesses. That is life! Get used to it. We are only equal in terms of our worth as human beings.

What does truly amaze me is how so many people have no clue what an "opinion" actually is. If someone says 2 plus 2 is 68, and I correct them and tell them it is 4, that is not my "opinion." It is fact. If you correct them, they attempt to tell you that doing so is a form of "bullying." On what continent? In which century? So, apparently, when parents correct their children and teachers correct their students, they are actually "bullying" them. That is one of the most preposterous and stupid things I have ever heard in my life!

People in the 21st century need to use their God-given brain for once in their measly existence. I am getting fed up of dealing with ignorant individual after ignorant individual. Let us try and be adults and at least pretend that we have a backbone.

Political correctness is a cancer and it is destroying our nations. It forces you to self-censor yourself. It is also cowardly because you do not stand for something you believe in. People think Christians are not supposed to offend other people, and to a degree they are right. However, there is a difference between maliciously offending someone on purpose, and somebody being offended by Truth. If you are offended by the truth, that is your problem. I have no obligation not to offend you if I am speaking the truth. Truth is supposed to offend you; that is how you know that you do not have it. You have to speak truth, otherwise you have nothing. Do you want to know how you stop political correctness? You stop doing it. Quit playing their game. Someone says, "You've hurt my feelings," you say, "I don't care."

Game over.

I win.

If they are offended by truth, that is not your obligation. Your only obligation is to speak the truth. Speak the truth in love, yes; but do not apologize for speaking the truth. The old cliché is accurate: "Truth hurts." Truth is a two-edged sword. Truth is both your offensive (sword) and defensive (shield) weapon. It can defend against and/or cut down errors and lies.

People repeatedly accuse Christians of not being tolerant and inclusive, yet the irony of their accusations is their illogical hypocrisy. While they are claiming that Christians are not tolerant and inclusive, they themselves are not tolerant and inclusive of Christians and/or Christianity. You see, they have changed the definition of tolerance from "the ability or willingness to tolerate something, in particular the existence of opinions or behavior that one does not necessarily agree with" to "the acceptance of the beliefs and/or practices of others whether you agree with them or not." They are essentially saying that if Christians try to impose their truth on them, Christians are bad. However, the self-refuting ironic logic here is that by telling Christians they are not allowed to do that, they are themselves imposing their "truth" upon Christians.

Again, if all "truth" is valid, what if my truth says your "truth" is wrong? Is it still valid? Post-Modern people are killing themselves. They are inconsistent in their words and actions, which makes them hypocrites. This is the stupidity that Post-Modernism brings about; illogical statements that lack a shred of intelligent thought. These people want Christians to accept everyone and everything, yet they refuse to accept Christians. Why? Because after 2,000 years, Christ Jesus is still intimidating people. They hate Christ Jesus. He said "I am the Way..." and they want to "do whatever is right in their own eyes." They want to go their own way and do their own thing, and they think Christ Jesus should just have to accept it. Sorry, but Jesus is God and He makes the rules. He is holy and His character is just and righteous. He says what is good and what is evil, and homosexuality is an unnatural perversion and moral bankruptcy of both human and sexual nature.

Dan Cathy, President of the Chick-fil-A establishment, issued this statement recently:
"We are very much supportive of the family--the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that. We operate as a family business ... our restaurants are typically led by families; some are single. We want to do anything we possibly can to strengthen families. We are very much committed to that. We intend to stay the course. We know that it might not be popular with everyone, but thank the Lord, we live in a country where we can share our values and operate on biblical principles."
The Mayor of Boston responded with these words:
"Chick-fil-A doesn't belong in Boston. You can't have a business in the city of Boston that discriminates against a population. We're an open city, we're a city that's at the forefront of inclusion. That's the Freedom Trail. That's where it all started right here. And we're not going to have a company, Chick-fil-A or whatever the #@&% the name is, on our Freedom Trail...If they need licenses in the city, it will be very difficult unless they open up their policies."
The Jim Henson Company issued this response:
"The Jim Henson Company has celebrated and embraced diversity and inclusiveness for over fifty years and we have notified Chick-fil-A that we do not wish to partner with them on any future endeavors. Lisa Henson, our CEO, is personally a strong supporter of gay marriage and has directed us to donate the payment we received from Chic-fil-A to GLAAD."
Talk about being morally depraved. Lisa Henson, and people like her, are just as twisted and corrupt as the homosexuals themselves. Maybe we should just let the murderers murder, and the rapists rape, and the pedophiles abuse children, and people who partake in bestiality continue doing so... After all, we would not want to "offend" them by telling them that they are wrong!!! That is what they choose for their "lifestyle," so who are we to say they are wrong in doing what they are doing? I mean, we would not want to "judge" them, would we? We might hurt their feelings.

Let us use a little common sense and logic here. The Mayor of Boston says they are an "inclusive" city, yet they are not inclusive of Christianity. They are inclusive of all religions and all people except Christians. Secularists, like Montel Williams, Rosie O'Donnell, Pierse Morgan, etc., spout that Christians need to be more "tolerant," yet they themselves are not tolerant of Christians. They have changed the definition of the word "tolerant" to mean something it has never and does not mean. Tolerance does not mean I have to accept your beliefs and/or way of life whether I agree with it or not. It means that I inform you that your beliefs and/or way of life are wrong (if they go against biblical principles), but if you want to continue believing/living the way you are, then I tolerate you in spite of everything else. The definition that secularists use is a false tolerance.

Have the words of Paul Washer ever been more prophetic?
"You will be isolated from society, as has already happened; anyone who runs for office who actually believes the Bible will be considered a lunatic; until finally we are silenced. We will be called things we're not and will be persecuted not for being followers of Christ but for being radical fundamentalists who do not know the true way of Christ, which, of course, is love and tolerance. You'll go down as the greatest bigots and haters of mankind in history. Persecution is always meant for evil, but God always means it for good. And is it not better to suffer in this life, to have an extra weight of glory in heaven... Your suffering will not be noble, so your mind must be filled with the Word of God when all people persecute you and turn on you. And if the Spirit of God and common grace pulls back and you see even your children and grand children tossing in the lot that you should die. This is no game. You want revival and awakening, but know this, for the most part great awakenings have come only preceding great national catastrophes or the persecution of the church. And it will be on us before we even recognize it."
