Modern "scholars" (Liberal?) think that parts of the Levitical Law are draconian and anti-female. These godless individuals fail to understand God and His holiness. If they understood the holiness of God in the least, they would not make such ridiculously juvenile and asinine statements of ignorance.
The rigid demands of the Law were meant to show externally what God desired internally. They were meant to demonstrate the holiness of God. The fact that these so-called "scholars" miss this puts their supposed education and credentials in question. Quite obviously and clearly, they are not Christians, nor true biblical scholars.
What qualifies these individuals as "scholars"? If you question or doubt anything in Scripture, claiming that Scripture is not true or accurate, then you are by no means a "scholar" by any stretch of the word. In order to actually be a "scholar," you have to be a specialist in the area of study. These individuals quite clearly are not specialists when it comes to Scripture, doctrine, theology, Christianity, or God. And definitely not in the area of holiness.
Be careful when pastors or authors refer to "scholars" in their arguments. Especially Charismatic, Emergent, or Feminist "pastors." They attempt to cite Liberal "scholars" who are no scholars at all! Homosexuals attempt to quote "scholars" who support their position. Feminists and those arguing for female elders/pastors attempt to quote "scholars" who support their position. The Bible is against both of these, and crystal clearly so! Those who deny what Scripture has to say and teach otherwise are not only being disobedient and rebellious, but they are not "scholars" by any stretch of the imagination. All their apparent education amounts to diddly squat. Education does not mean one is intelligent, especially if one rejects correct education in favour of opinion or feelings.
You cannot be a specialist of Scripture if you question or doubt it and do not believe that it is the absolute Word of God and that it is true from cover to cover. You are in no way a "scholar." Your credentials are worthless and useless.
