THE GENERAL EPISTLE OF_
JUDE
JUDE
JUDE, a servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to_those called in God the Father, having_been_set_apart, and having_been kept by Jesus Christ: 2mercy to_you, and peace and love be_multiplied.
3Beloved, having_made all diligence to_write to_you about our common salvation, I_had the_need to_write to_you exhorting to_earnestly_contend for_the faith once delivered to_the saints. 4For certain men crept_in_secretly, those of_old having_been previously_written into this judgment, ungodly_ones perverting the grace of God for unbridled_lust, and denying the only Lord God, and Lord of_us, Jesus Christ.
5But I_intend to_remind you, though you once knew these_things, that the Lord, having_saved the people out_of the land of_Egypt, afterward He_destroyed those not believing.
6And those angels not having_kept their_own first_estate, but having_deserted their_own dwelling-place, He_has_kept in_chains everlasting under darkness until the judgment of_a_great Day;
7as Sodom and Gommorah, and the cities around them in_the similar manner to these, committed_fornication and went after other flesh, are_set_forth for_an_example, suffering vengeance of_fire everlasting.
8Likewise, indeed, also these dreamers even defile flesh, and despise lordship, and speak_evil_of glories. 9But Michael the archangel, when contending with_the devil, he_argued about the body of_Moses, he_dared not to_bring a_judgment of_blasphemy, but said, “Let the Lord rebuke you!” 10But these, indeed, they_speak_evil_of what_things they_know not: and what things they understand naturally — as_the animals without_reason — they_are_corrupted by these.
11Woe to_them! because they_went in_the way of_Cain, and gave_themselves to_the error of_Balaam for reward, and perished in_the speaking_against of Korah!
12These are sunken_rocks in your feasts_of_love, feasting together with you, feeding themselves without_fear; waterless clouds having_been_carried_about by winds; autumn trees without_fruit, twice dying having_been_uprooted; 13wild waves of the sea foaming_up their_own shames; wandering stars for whom blackness of darkness has_been_kept to the age.
14And also, to_these, the seventh from Adam, Enoch, prophesied saying, “Behold, the Lord came with myriads of_His saints, 15to_do judgment against all, and to_rebuke all the ungodly of_them concerning all their ungodly works, which they did ungodly, and about all the harsh_things that ungodly sinners spoke against Him.”
16These are murmurers, complainers, following according_to the lusts of_themselves, and their mouth speaks proud things, admiring faces for the_sake_of_gain.
17But you, beloved, remember the words spoken_before by the apostles of_the Lord of_us, Jesus Christ,
18because they_told you that at the last time there_will_be mockers according_to the lusts of_themselves, following the ungodly. 19These are they dividing_apart themselves, animal-like, not having the Spirit.
20But you, beloved, building_up yourselves by your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21keep yourselves in the love of_God, eagerly_awaiting the mercy of_the Lord of us, Jesus Christ, to everlasting life.
22And truly pity some, making_distinction. 23But save others with fear, snatching them out of_the fire, hating even the garment stained from the flesh.
24Now to_Him being_able to_keep you without_stumbling, and to set you before His glory without_blemish, with exultation; 25to the only wise God, our Saviour, be glory and authority, might and majesty, even now and to all the ages. Amen.
