Praying the Rosary: Rank Heresy

Will Catholics be in Heaven?

Some will, yes, but most will not. Those who end up in Heaven, it will be in spite of their many heretical practices and beliefs. Only because of Christ Jesus and their trust in His person and His saving work on the cross will anyone — Anglican, Baptist, Catholic, Methodist, Presbyterian, Reformed, etc. — find themselves in Heaven. (Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Muslims, and other cults will not find anyone from their ranks in Heaven because they believe in a different, non-biblical Jesus.)

The Rosary is nothing but rank heresy! Allow me to demonstrate why.

This is how Catholics are to pray the Rosary:

  1. Make the sign of the cross and say the "Apostles' Creed."
  2. Say the "Our Father."
  3. Say three "Hail Marys."
  4. Say the "Glory be to the Father."
  5. Announce the First Mystery; then say the "Our Father."
  6. Say ten "Hail Marys" while meditating on the Mystery.
  7. Say the "Glory be to the Father."
  8. After each decade, say the "Fatima Prayer" requested by the Blessed Virgin Mary.
  9. Announce the Second Mystery: then say the "Our Father." Repeat 6, 7, and 8 and continue with the Third, Fourth and Fifth Mysteries in the same manner.
  10. After completing the five decades, say the "Hail, Holy Queen" and make the sign of the cross.
  11. As a general rule, the Joyful Mysteries are said on Monday and Saturday; the Sorrowful Mysteries on Tuesday and Friday; the Glorious Mysteries on Wednesday and Sunday; the Luminous Mysteries on Thursday.

Not only is such a practice vain repetition, which the Lord God hates, but it is also superstition (like much of the Catholic belief system).

The "Hail Mary" is utter heresy. First of all, Mary is not the "mother of God"; she is the mother of God in the flesh. God existed long before Mary was ever a glint in her father's eye. God created Mary. Catholics need to get their terminology correct, which would correct a great deal of their erroneous theology. Second of all, praying to Mary (or any other saint, for that matter) is blasphemous. She can no more do anything for you than I can. Praying to me is just as foolish as praying to Mary. Last of all, Mary is not praying for anyone. She does not even hear your foolish misdirected prayers.

The "Hail Holy Queen" is utter blasphemy. First of all, Mary is not the "Queen" of anything! Least of all the "Queen of Heaven." Second of all, she is not the "mother of mercy." She cannot even offer you mercy. Mercy comes from God alone! Third of all, Mary is not "our life" nor "our hope" — Jesus is! Fourth of all, our cries, sighs, mourning, and weeping are sent up to Jesusnot to Mary! Fifth of all, Mary is not our Advocate — Jesus is! Last of all, Mary cannot, and does not, pray for you.

As I am sure you have noticed by now, the Catholics have turned Mary into another god; into a goddess, which they subsequently worship. Not only do they ascribe to her attributes and characteristics that belong to Almighty God alone, but they also make her co-equal with Jesus in numerous ways (co-Advocate, co-Redeemer, co-Saviour, etc.). Mary is a sinner just like the rest of us.

Here are the "promises" that the Catholic church has falsely ascribed to Mary (with my commentary):

  1. Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the rosary, shall receive signal graces.
We know from this first point that this "Mary" is none other than Satan himself. The real Mary, mother of Jesus, would never ask or demand that others serve her. We are to serve Christ Jesus alone. Furthermore, Mary cannot grant you a single thing. She has no "graces" to bestow upon you!
  2. I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the rosary.
Sorry, but Mary cannot protect anyone from anything. The only person who can protect us from anything is Jesus!
  3. The rosary shall be a powerful armour against hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies.
Really? The rosary now possesses attributes of Christ? Can anyone say, "Heresy"?
  4. It will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal thing. Oh, that woulds would sanctify themselves by this means.
Sorry, but what the Bible — God's Word — says is, "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them" and "for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure." The rosary itself, and praying the rosary, will do nothing for you! Men are sanctified by the Holy Spirit, not by the rosary or the recitation thereof!
  5. The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the rosary, shall not perish.
Funny, I am pretty sure that what the Bible — God's Word — says is that "whoever believes in [Jesus] shall not perish." There is nothing about reciting the rosary, and neither Mary nor the rosary can save you.
  6. Whoever shall recite the rosary devoutly, applying himself to the consideration of its sacred mysteries shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise him in His justice, he shall not perish by an unprovided death; if he be just he shall remain in the grace of God, and become worthy of eternal life.
See the next point. There is much wrong with this point.
  7. Whoever shall have a true devotion for the rosary shall not die without the sacraments of the Church.
True devotion is reserved for Christ Jesus and Christ Jesus alone, and for none other and for nothing else. To engage otherwise is to commit idolatry.
  8. Those who are faithful to recite the rosary shall have during their life and at their death the light of God and the plenitude of His graces; at the moment of death they shall participate in the merits of the saints in paradise.
Where in God's holy Word is such a thing taught? Oh, that is right, nowhere!
  9. I shall deliver from purgatory those who have been devoted to the rosary.
There exists no "purgatory," and even if there did, Mary could not deliver anyone from it. She does not have the power to do so.
  10. The faithful children of the rosary shall merit a high degree of glory in heaven.
Wow! Where to start. This contradicts so much of what Jesus spoke directly to His disciples. And now, according to Catholics, Mary is contradicting Him? If any of this were true, then Mary fell a long way into sin after Jesus ascended into Heaven.
  11. You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the rosary.
Really? Mary is co-equal with Jesus? Sorry, but the Bible — God's Word — says, "Whatever you ask in My name [Jesus], that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son." Mary can grant you nothing!
  12. All those who propagate the holy rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities.
Another promise Mary cannot deliver on.
  13. I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the rosary shall have for intercessors the entire celestial court during their life and at the hour of death.
Yeah. Sure they will. These are not the words of Mary, but of a narcissistic individual bent on perverting Christianity into goddess worship.
  14. All those who recite the rosary are my sons, and brothers of my only son Jesus Christ.
More idolatry and blasphemy. Brothers and sisters of Christ Jesus are sons and daughters of God the Father. They are nothing to Mary because Mary is nothing. Mary is not the wife of God the Father. She is not "Queen of Heaven" and does not" have any co- qualities with either God the Father, Christ Jesus, or the Holy Spirit. Mary herself, as a believer, is a daughter of God the Father and a sister of Christ Jesus, a sister to the rest of us not a mother! Furthermore, Jesus was not her only child.
  15. Devotion to my rosary is a great sign of predestination.
*LMAO* That is hilarious! Quite obviously the Catholics fail to understand what "predestination" actually is. It is no wonder their theology is completely bankrupt.

The real Mary, mother of Jesus, would never suggest something that drew attention away from Christ Jesus and centered attention on herself! In fact, she would never accept worship of herself, just as the angels, prophets, and apostles refused, because worship belongs to God alone.

If you speak with a Catholic apologist on these things, they will attempt to deny what these things clearly teach, and try to slither around them deceitfully. They will try to explain them away. For example, they deliberately ignore and twist passages that say she was a virgin until Jesus was born, and that Jesus has several younger brothers and sisters. They will attempt to cite a bunch of early Church fathers, like heretic Jerome, who spoke about Mary being a "perpetual virgin." I have already shown in previous posts how in the second century the early fathers had already begun perverting God's Congregation through the heresy of apostolic succession. You can witness it with regard to the Lord's Supper, baptism, and even congregational membership. The traditions of the Catholic church are built upon nothing but egregious error upon egregious error.

Let us get several things straight and clear: Mary is not our Saviour. Mary is not our Redeemer. Mary is not our Deliverer. Mary is not our Advocate. Mary is not our life. Mary is not our hope. Mary is not our mercy. Mary is not our grace. Mary is not our sanctification. Mary is not our mother. Mary is not our queen. Jesus alone is our Saviour, our Redeemer, our Deliverer, our Advocate, our life, our hope, our mercy, our grace, and our sanctification. Jesus is our All in all.
